Keeping Skin Calm & Clear While on the Road with Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask

If you're like me, your skin takes a beating even on the most relaxed and healthy of trips. Plane travel, changes in diet, changes to temperature and humidity, changes to typical skin routines and jet lag do a number on my skin. It often comes in the form of bumps, enlarged blackheads and/or redness. On the last few trips I've taken a new product with me and have been really impressed by the results: Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask.

I've used mud masks in the past and while they're effective at the deep cleaning, the sacrifice is moisture. After travel, when I often find myself struggling for hydration, the last thing I want is to strip out what little moisture I have. Kiehl's has formulated a mask that cleans out my pores while soothing my skin. I was quite surprised at how much moisture my skin retained after its use. Each time I woke up in the morning after using this mask the night before my skin was in better shape than the previous day.

Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask comes in a 1 oz and 5 oz size so the smaller one is perfect for tossing into your toiletry bag. The 5 oz size is, of course, the better deal so to make it travel-ready I go to to the makeup counters and ask for a few of the sample containers. They're a fraction of an ounce, take up little room and for non liquid items like this they keep it well enough for travel.

I'll admit this isn't an all-natural brand, is owned by a large parent company, and if you're into reading the fine print in ingredients there are some controversial lines. But, in terms of results for travel, I'm sticking with it.

For $16 for the 1 oz or $33 for the 5 oz it's worth trying out. I bought mine at Sephora but Kiehl's is available at a number of different stores. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me!
